Hosted by ACHPER NT and PTANT Connection IS the Content Keynote Presentation with Mark Collard (2:45pm-3:45pm) How do we create learning environments where students feel connected, engaged and ready to learn? Join internationally respected facilitator and best-selling author Mark Collard for an inspiring and interactive keynote exploring the powerful concept of 'Connection Before Content'. Drawing on the latest research and more than three decades of experience working with educators and organisations worldwide, Mark demonstrates how meaningful relationships can enhance learning, wellbeing and student engagement.  This unique 'playnote' presentation combines evidence-based insights with practical demonstrations and participant interaction, modelling strategies that educators can immediately apply in their classrooms and school communities.  Interactive Practical Workshop (4:00pm-5:30pm) Following the keynote, participants will take part in a highly interactive and practical workshop that brings the concepts of connection and engagement to life. Through a range of fun, inclusive and easy-to-implement activities, Mark will demonstrate strategies that help students build trust, strengthen relationships, increase participation and develop a positive learning culture. ACHPER and RLSSA NT branch have teamed up to deliver an ACHPER NT branch members only FREE Bronze update. This course is for ACHPER financial members ONLY.  Participants must hold a current Bronze Medallion Qualification. If you do not hold a current Bronze Medallion or it has expired, you will need to book into the full Bronze Medallion course. Participants who successfully complete this award will be re-accredited with both Bronze Medallion and Resuscitation Awards. The Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion Award should be renewed every 12 months. Nibbles will be provided. Be at the pool by 4pm with swimmers on ready to start on time.

This session will explore how squash can be used to develop movement skills, social awareness and a positive connection to physical activity. No squash courts, no problem.  The Squash Stars Primary School resource has been designed to support teachers to provide a fun and safe introduction to the game of Squash through a variety of modified games that can easily be adapted to most schools. The session will share practical teaching strategies that use a game-based approach to support personal and social capabilities. Participants will learn how to create inclusive and engaging learning environments that respond to the needs of all students. The session will also highlight the role of sport in building connections with families and the broader school community, with a focus on squash as a sport that supports participation across all ages and abilities.

ACHPER and RLSSA NT branch have teamed up to deliver an ACHPER NT branch members only FREE Bronze update.  If you are interested in taking up this opportunity and you require an extension to your current Bronze qualification please contact trainingmanagernt@rlssa.org.au.  ACHPER and RLSSA NT run updates in April and October each year. Please note the course starts at 4pm at the pool with togs on. This update course is for financial ACHPER NT members only. The Royal Life Saving Society's Bronze Medallion Update Course offers great opportunities within the aquatic industry and beyond. This course is for ACHPER financial members wishing to update their current Royal Life Saving Bronze Medallion award. Please note: Participants must hold a current Bronze Medallion Qualification.
